This review is from: Sex in the Pews: An exposé on the hidden sex culture in the church (Kindle Edition) I decided to download a copy of my old friend Pastor Jonathan K Sanders new book "Sex in the Pews" today and though I haven't gotten all the way through it, I wanted to share it with you all.One thing you can count on is that "JKS" is going to keep it real and raw and I would advise that you wear your "seat belt" if you are easily offended. What I appreciate the most about this book is that the author (JKS) shares candidly from his own life and condemns no one and offers both validation to the hurting and an opportunity for restoration and mercy to the offenders. This book to shed some light on an area that needs to be confronted in the Body of Christ and I would recommend that you not only read it but I would suggest using it as a tool for both small group and congregational Bible Study. I pray God use this book as a tool for confrontation, healing, and true deliverance in the lives of all who read it.....

Pastor Sanders unveils the many hidden agendas of the enemy and how prevalent they are in the Church today. This book is brutally honest, but it is a powerful read. Thank you, Pastor Sanders!
Book Reviews INTRODUCTION

Why He Won't Marry You

One of the reasons why I wrote this book, is because I kept hearing women and people, ingeneral, say that men (especially black men) don't want to be married. That is far from the truth. I have been all around the world and divorced for the last twelve years. My mother, whom I affectionately call “Queen Esther,” told me years ago before she left Earth, “Son, I may not be around to see you get married again but remember this, there's a difference between quantity and quality. You can have a room full of women but you can also have a room full of no good women. It's the same with men. Remember I told you son.” Mama, you ain't never lied! These days it's never about quantity but always about quality! I am forty-seven now, but I can still remember traveling the world with my father as a younger man and him telling me to look at how beautiful some, certainly not all, women were from head to toe. There are some who have their hair flawless, body immaculate, nails done, and their teeth are perfect! They even have their own businesses, cars, and homes; yet they don't even have a man, let alone a husband. Something just might be wrong somewhere.

My Father would say, "How can a woman have all of that, yet there's no man in sight? Trust me! If you see a beautiful woman who has accomplished great success, with looks to match, but no man? Something has to be terribly wrong!" Of course, I'm not talking about the woman that is enjoying her singleness and does not want to be in a relationship at the time. That's a whole different subject. Now my sister, if you want to continue to blame Terrell, Dexter, and Larry, as to the reason why you don't have a man, that's fine. With that said, you may want to put the book down now because I'm getting ready to go where the average man won't. Let me ask you a question, have you ever dated a man for several years, ended the relationship, and then found out that man you were dating all those years got married to someone else less than six months later? Say what you want, but if that was me, I would feel some kind of way. That does not mean that there was something wrong with you. There could have been something wrong with him, or maybe the two of you were just not a good match. Regardless, this kind of situation will certainly raise an eyebrow or two. I by no means am an expert on women.

God knows I'mnot. I had a beautiful marriage for thirteen years and things went bad. Yet, I have learned that life goes on. I've traveled all over the world and dated some of God's finest creatures. Though I do not yet have all the answers, I have learned many things that I would like to share with you. This book is not written to put any woman down. Absolutely not! I would never disrespect God's chosen vessels that are female. I was raised by a beautiful mother who is now in Heaven. I believe she is continuing to look down on me, waiting to see what I will do with all the knowledge and wisdom she invested in me.

This is why I write to you, my friends. I have three beautiful chocolate sisters whom I love and greatly adore and want nothing but the best for them, and also for you. Give me a chance before you cut me off, tune me out, or unplug me. Just hear what I have to say. I myself, like many men, would love to get up early on a Tuesday morning and go down to the jewelry store and pick out the most beautiful diamond in the showcase. I would love to arrange a secret engagement party with our closest friends and family members. I would like to get down on one knee and propose to the queen of my dreams, hoping God will make it last forever. Maybe all I had was one chance. Then again, maybe I will find love again and it will be even better the second time around. Let me open my heart, expose my feelings, give you a piece of my mind, and share with you what I believe are some of the issues that are holding women back from the man of their dreams. Give me a chance to share what I know and remember, if this doesn't don't bless you, I'll buy the book back. Thank you for sharing your time with me.
